Privacy Policy — GlassCue
Last Updated: April 2026
Our Privacy Philosophy
GlassCue is a local-only macOS application. There are no servers, no accounts, no cloud sync, and no network calls during normal use. Your scripts are yours and never leave your Mac.
What We Do NOT Collect
- No analytics — we don’t track how you use the app
- No crash reports sent to external services
- No usage data — scroll speed, font size, session length, nothing
- No script content — your teleprompter text is never transmitted
- No identifiers — no device ID, no advertising ID, no user ID
- No third-party SDKs — no analytics libraries, no tracking frameworks
Local-Only Data
All data in GlassCue lives entirely on your Mac:
| Data | Where It Lives |
|---|---|
| Teleprompter scripts | Your device only |
| App preferences (font, speed, colors) | macOS app sandbox |
| Opened files | Read from disk, never uploaded |
Nothing is transmitted. Nothing is stored outside your device.
Screen Recording Privacy
GlassCue’s window is intentionally hidden from screen recorders, Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and OBS. This is a privacy feature — the window cannot be accidentally captured and shared.
macOS Sandbox
GlassCue is a sandboxed macOS application. It can only:
- Read files you explicitly open via the file picker or clipboard
- Store its own preferences in the macOS app container
It cannot access your file system beyond files you choose to open, and it has no network entitlements.
Third-Party Services
GlassCue uses none.
Changes to This Policy
If we add features that change data practices, this page will be updated with a new “Last Updated” date before the feature ships.
